National Prisoner Foundation launches the distribution of water filters for military prison in Amanat Al-Asimah Sana’a 

the National Prisoner Foundation Launched, on Tuesday September 3rd 2019 the distribution of water filters for the military prison in Amanat Al-Asimah Sana’a.

The project which the Foundation is implemented with funding from the Silver Filter Company, aimed to provide clean and safe drinking water for the military prison’s inmates in Amanat Al-Asimah Sana’a, so as to reduce the spread of diseases such as cholera, diphtheria and other, which is water pollution one of the main reasons for it.

The project is one of the projects implemented by the Foundation, in the WASH Program, with the aim of providing access to safe drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene promotion in order to ensure disease free health environment in various Central Correctional Facilities and prosecutions.

The international reports indicate that an estimated 17.8 million Yemeni need humanitarian assistance to provide safe sources of water and environmental sanitation services, including 12.6 million people in acute need of intensive support in this field.
