National Prisoner Foundation organizes a workshop on the occasion of International Women’s Day

The National Prisoner Foundation organized a workshop in Sana’a on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The National Prisoner Foundation Mr.Yahya Ali Al-Habbari pointed out to the importance of the workshop, which comes within the framework of the International Women’s Day .. He pointed to the importance of the role of women as an actor in the establishment of peace.

He explained that The National Prisoner Foundation is an active member of the Cluster of Women’s Protection, a coordination system for the efforts of concerned organizations and bodies to work in the field of protecting women to carry out activities in coordination with partners.

Al-Habbari said that the Foundation will carry out activities in conjunction with the International Women’s Day, including participation in the bazaar of women’s products, in addition to legal, and judicial activities.

For his part, Acting Director General of the Foundation Mr. Mansour Al-Sarha said that women are a priority within the activities and projects of the Foundation and its annual plans because of its role in society.

In the same context, The National Prisoner Foundation implemented the project of improving water, sanitation and services in Al-jarrahi and Al-Mansuriya Districts in Al-Hodeidah Governorate with funding from OCHA.

The first phase of the project included the training of 100 men& women volunteers over five days on awareness of the concepts of water and environmental sanitation, while the second phase involves the implementation of the community awareness work of the two Districts, targeting 48 thousand men and women and lasting eight months.
